Timeline

*A little back-story- I have been on oral contraceptives pretty much non-stop since I hit puberty. I had very painful, extremely odd, and irregular periods, and this was a quick and very effective long-term fix for all of those issues that I had. The BC masked all of my problems; it allowed me to live peacefully for many years not knowing the extent of the mess going on inside of my body. I would go off of the BC for a few months randomly every now and then; usually nothing too bad would happen. There was a time when I went off for one year and had some pretty severe pain that would come and go, at that time I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries, which does vary from full-fledged Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. I don't have many of the textbook PCOS symptoms, but boy do I have the cysts.

*Me - 27, Polycystic Ovaries, Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Poor Uterine Blood Flow
*Hubby - 28, Normal

*January 2008-Hubby and I met

*August 2010-Tied the knot

*August 2011- Officially off birth control, not trying to get pregnant, but not preventing it either. We were hoping to just let it happen when it happened.

*November 2011-April 2012-We began aggressively TTC. We knew I did not always ovulate, and my periods would be as much as an entire month late, we never knew when I would ovulate. Those tests never worked; many times it would show that I was ovulating several times in one cycle... So we figured if we had intercourse every other night we were bound to get pregnant at some point. Pain with intercourse was becoming more painful with each week that passed.

*April 2012-The pain with intercourse had become so unbearable that I would literally cry and scream out in pain. I saw my Gynecologist because I knew something was very wrong.

*May 2012-I underwent a Laparoscopy to clean everything out, I felt GREAT for several months afterwards. After the surgery, my Gynecologist recommended we see a fertility specialist, he said it is highly unlikely we would be able to conceive on our own.

*August 2012-We met with our first Dr. at a local fertility clinic. We were told IVF was the only option that would give us decent odds, he also warned us that time was of the essence because the Endometriosis was coming back. Was put on Metformin 1,000 MG, still on this same dosage.

*October 2012-Present-All of the pre-surgery pain has been coming back.

*November 2012-We met with our current Dr. at CCRM.  We were told the same thing, but we were also told that IVF would be the only option that would not involve another Laparoscopy beforehand. We chose IVF.

*February 2013-Begining our first IVF cycle.
